In regards to the last post
In regards to DC GOP Girl's latest post, I would respectfully agree to disagree. Also, how does pay rate relate to our discussion? Moreover, the purpose of this blog is to merely discuss the issues at hand in an open dialogue and not to make personal attacks. This hyperpartisanship has largely contributed to issues facing our nation and I originally proposed this blog to offset it.
I think you've raised some very important concerns. The GOP seems incapable of understanding the feminist movement beyond the second wave (or afraid to address it), which I believe will seriously hurt the party's ability to grow beyond its typical demographics. I look forward to reading more of your posts.
ReplyDeleteThe art of compromise has been lost to ideology on both sides. One side caters to the CEO's and the other the labor unions while a bulk of this country is left having to accept policies that don't serve them well. I am hoping that they can come together and find common ground.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how you're taking offense to what your Republican counterpart said.
ReplyDeleteAs a Dem myself, I may not fully agree with her, but I don't think she was attacking anyone in her opinions. At least not on a personal level.
I thought the bit about the paygrade provided a moment of brevity in an intense conversation.
You were the one who brought up this issue. You called out the Republican Party. You MUST have known this was, as you put it a "hyperpartisan" issue.
I actually agree with you here politically, but all I can say if you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen.
I don't appreciate reading a blog where the author is going to whine the moment someone disagrees with them. Maybe political blogging just isn't for you.
cheers.
Wow, insecure much Pearls in Power? I don't think DCGOPGIRL said anything wrong. Like her points or not.
ReplyDeleteDCGOPGIRL: I say you go and find a new blog partner. Clearly this girl is too immature to handle a political argument. That and she's a poor writer. You can do much better!
Mmmm trollin' on good ole openID...way to make it super obvious that someone here can't handle a real debate. Is it really that hard to agree to disagree or was this whole thing just a giant farce so people could get into super mature internet fights, eh?
ReplyDeleteNo, openid is how comments like to post from a Droid phone. Try again.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm signed in through AIM, so while it's openid compatible, it means nothing other than I'm on a work phone and not logged into a google account (which is what blogger is & gives preference to).
Looks like I hit a nerve, ouch! Stay pressed, honey :)
ReplyDeleteOOOH NOESIES MY COMMENT GOT DELETED?
